National Grocery chain store in Innsmouth provided one of the few friendly faces to be met by the narrator of Shadow Over Innsmouth - a lone boy worker who originally came from Arkham provided the narrator with advice and a rough map of the town. This store is set up in the corner portion of a building, with entries on two sides. The building is much patched and shows signs of later modification. A stairway around one side provides access to an upstairs storage room. The store is well lit, with pre-placed goods behind the counter. Based on an authentic photograph of a grocery store in the 1920s.
