kromekat's Andromeda IV AI & Tech Smart Props Complete All of the items from both packs in one great value combined package! ? Adam Benton July 2002 Andromeda IV is a bio-mechanical humanoid character for Daz's Vicky and Vicky 2. --------------------- I have been a great lover of sci-fi in literature, art and film since I can remember, and androids/artificial humans/AI etc. have always held a special fascination for me. Hence after many hours of work and head scratching, I conceived Andromeda IV! My perception of this character is that of a highly sophisticated, synthesized human, with many useful functions for the benefit of mankind. However, Artificial Intelligence raises some very controversial issues, and potentially terrifying eventualities... ...I will leave these possibilities up to your imaginations, and look forward to seeing your own visual representations of them! -------------------- The Andromeda IV package is essentially a hi-res texture pack that you can utilize as is. However!... To extend the possibilities of how your Andromeda can look, I have included 'open source' layer files (in .psd format) for both the head and body texture maps! - these include the detailed 'sensor veins/pads' as a top layer, and the 'dark inset's' as a middle layer. You can simply copy and paste the original flat textures in as a base layer. The most exciting feature of this method, is that you could copy, paste and blend your other favorite body textures in between these layers in any combination, allowing endless possibilities to create new versions of Andromeda as part human, part android etc! (see my gallery for examples) The 5 smart props give Andromeda and Athena their first set of tech accessories to wear! All modeled to fit tightly with high resolution meshes and UV mapped textures (templates provided), these props really bring out the 'bio-mechanical' side of our AI girls! But hey, there's no need to limit yourself to using these cool props for just the AI's - they make great accessories for any space chick! -------------------- This pack contains the following; Files for Andromeda IV character: Textures (jpegs): 1 x 4000x4000 body texture 1 x 4000x4000 body bump 1 x 2000x2000 body texture 1 x 2000x2000 body bump 1 x 2500x2500 head texture 1 x 2500x2500 head bump 6 x MAT files (pz2) - for easy quick changes between light, dark, tinted, standard/high (2000) and very high res (4000) versions of the Andromeda textures. 2 x Poses (pz2) - basic standing poses I used in the development of this character. 1 x Light setup (lt2) - a basic light setup with colors that work well with the Andromeda's textures. 1 x 2000x2000 Body layers file (psd) 1 x 2500x2500 Head layers file (psd) - open source layer files to allow endless possibilities when combined with other textures.
