Acrocanthosaurus was one of the largest dinosaur predators of North America! 45 Million years before Tyrannosaurus, this giant hunter stalked the lowlands of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. Little known until recently, this museum-quality model brings the Acrocanthosaurus back to rule again after 110 million years! Almost 13 meters in length, only Tyrannosaurus was larger among North American carnivores. Acrocanthosaurus was a threat to even the largest dinosaurs around it. Its unique feature was a row of large spines in its backbone, probably surrounded my massive muscles. (Its name means 'High-Spined Reptile')
